Meet Eve Silver

My Practice

Welcome! I am a fully qualified, experienced and BACP registered counsellor, supervisor and facilitator working with adults over 18.

As a counsellor I offer a holding, confidential and non-judgemental space for us to explore your issues together. It is important for me to work in an inclusive and non-oppressive way, and through valuing you as you are I will work alongside you to get a deeper understanding of your experiences, and how you might be able to move forward in your life.

I am a traditional Person Centred counsellor, which means I believe that you are the expert in your experiences.

I aim to walk alongside you as we explore what is troubling you. I will listen to you in a way that we rarely get to experience in every day life- without judgement, agenda, or expectations. Together we will work through your issues in whatever order and whatever pace feels right for you.

I have experience working with a wide variety of issues, some of which include: Abuse, Ambiguous Loss, Anxiety, Bereavement, Body Issues, Coronavirus related issues, Cultural issues, Depression, Disability, Disordered Eating/Food Issues, Eating Disorders, Gender Identity Issues, Health related issues, Identity issues, LGBTQI+ Issues, Loss, Low mood, Men's issues, Obsessions, OCD, Phobias, Post-traumatic stress, Relationships, Self esteem, Self-harm, Sex-related issues, Sexual identity, Sexuality, Spirituality, Stress, Suicidality, University related Issues, Women's issues, Work related issues

My supervision practice is relational and person centred, and I work with counsellors and those in a helping profession to better understand themselves in relation to their work, and help navigate all the different systems that you or your client may be operating within.

My interests in facilitation range from group workshops working with meditation and creative expression, inner child exploration and offering training for trainees and newly qualified counsellors.

Non-Judgemental Environment

I offer a warm non-judgemental space for you to feel safe enough to talk about your experiences without needing to ‘edit’ yourself.

Empathic Listening

I aim to truly understand exactly what your experiences and feelings are. When we are really seen and understood we can process our experiences fully. This in turn can release our own judgements and help process traumas.

Commitment to Congruence

As our work progresses and I understand more of you and the context you live in, I will offer gentle observations that give the opportunity to spot patterns in thoughts and responses, and can deepen your understanding of your self.

A Healing Relationship

By working together we will build a therapeutic relationship where you can feel nurtured, seen and held. Where all parts of you are welcome and you can feel safe enough to take the risk to be vulnerable.

Self Acceptance

The more you are able to understand your experiences, the more your ability to offer yourself self acceptance will grow.

Facing Hardships in Life

Through the process of Person Centered therapy, you will find you develop a stronger sense of self. This can make life’s external issues easier to face and navigate as you may find yourself better able to make decisions that feel right for you.
